What we know now about Greek mythology chiefly derives from literary works such as epic and lyric poetry, drama, histories, romances, and other prose narratives. It is mainly about Gods appeared after The Beginnings—Creation, including the Twelve Gods in Olympus ( Zeus, Hera, Hades, Poseidon, Athene, Apollo, Ares, Aphrodite, Dionysus, Artemis, Hephaestus, and Hermes ), Prometheus and Man, the Five Ages of Man, Lovers of Zeus, Hestia and Demeter ; also about Heroes like Perseus, Bellerophon, Heracles, Jason, Theseus, Meleager, Orpheus; and about The Tragic Dynasties, the Flood and the famous story–The Trojan War.
